Sparidae (Perciformes)

Micro-CT was performed to a small fish which belongs to Sparidae family. For this specimen, no contrast agent was used. Scan was performed with a Skyscan 1172 at a voltage of 44kV and 222μΑ with a custom made aluminium filter (two layers of aluminium foil) for a full rotation of 360^o . This specimen was scanned at a medium camera resolution with an exposure time of 340ms. This scan was performed for testing visualization techniques of several marine organisms. Specimen was provided by Nikos Nikolioudakis and scanned by Jeroen Hostens.
